Treatment Overview

Say Farewell To Lumps & Lesions With Minor Surgery

At HAVA we offer minor surgery for lumps and lesions, a precise and effective approach to address various skin irregularities that ensures both cosmetic enhancement and improved well-being. Commonly used procedures include excision, laser therapy, and cryotherapy.

Clearing The Way With Expert Minor Surgery

Excision involves removing the lesion or lump with a scalpel, ensuring complete removal and minimising scarring. This technique is ideal for larger or more complex lesions, providing both diagnostic and therapeutic benefits. Laser therapy employs targeted laser beams to vaporise or shrink lesions, offering a non-invasive option with minimal scarring. Cryotherapy involves freezing the lesion with liquid nitrogen, causing it to peel off over time – an excellent choice for small, benign growths.

Smooth Skin Ahead

These procedures treat benign skin growths such as unwanted moles, skin tags, or warts. Beyond the elimination of nuisance lumps, minor surgery enhances a person’s appearance and well-being by promoting skin health and confidence. Benefits include improved aesthetics, as the removal of unsightly or unwanted lumps contributes to a smoother, clearer complexion.

Long-Lasting Results

Minor surgery for lumps and lesions is a versatile and transformative solution, blending cosmetic and medical benefits to support both the appearance and holistic well-being of individuals. A consultation with our qualified healthcare professional will be required to determine the most suitable approach for your specific needs.

Frequently asked questions

Minor surgery can be performed on a range of conditions, including lipomas, cysts, warts, moles and skin tags. Our experienced doctor will need to diagnose the lump or lesion before deciding which removal technique to apply.

Each treatment technique has its own level of associated discomfort. This will be discussed at the consultation and an appropriate anaesthetic will be decided. This is usually a local anaesthetic.

Side effects may also be treatment dependent. Typically, some swelling, bruising and sensitivity is to be expected. These effects may last for a few days.

Aftercare instructions will be discussed at the consultation, and then repeated before you go home. You will generally be recommended to keep the area dry for a specified time, taking care not to disturb the wound. You may also be asked to avoid strenuous activities and avoid sun exposure to the wound. You may also need to attend the clinic for a follow up appointment where your healing wound will be assessed.

Results may take a few weeks or months to fully develop, allowing for the skin in the treated area to heal. Some minor scarring may be noticeable; however, this will fade over time. The final outcome will see a more even surface to the skin which is also more even in tone.
