Will this treatment hurt?
The lips are sensitive in nature so the application of lip fillers can, therefore, cause a degree of discomfort. At HAVA we administer a topical numbing cream to the lips 20-30 minutes before treatment, to reduce any tenderness. Cool packs can be used in the hours that follow treatment to ease any lingering sensitivity.
Are there any side effects?
You can expect to experience some mild swelling or bruising following the lip filler treatment. This will usually have subsided within a few days.
Are there any aftercare instructions?
Post-lip filler care includes gentle lip hygiene, avoiding pressure or strenuous activity. Applying ice or cool packs to the lips can help to reduce swelling, and we advise you to avoid wearing makeup and extreme temperatures for a few days.
When can I expect results?
Patients typically notice immediate enhancement in lip volume and shape. The duration of results varies depending on the type of filler used and individual metabolism, lasting several months to a year or more.
