Does getting lip filler hurt?

At HAVA we administer a topical numbing cream to the lips 20-30 minutes before treatment, to reduce any tenderness. Cool packs can be used in the hours that follow treatment to ease any lingering sensitivity.
How long do lip fillers last?
Typically our patients can expect results to last several months to a year or more. The duration of results varies depending on the type of filler used and individual metabolism.
Are there any side effects to lip filler?
You can expect to experience some mild swelling or bruising following the lip filler treatment. This will usually have subsided within a few days.
Are there any aftercare instructions post-lip filler?
Post-lip filler care includes gentle lip hygiene, avoiding pressure or strenuous activity. Applying ice or cool packs to the lips can help to reduce swelling, and we advise you to avoid wearing makeup and extreme temperatures for a few days.
