Tear Trough Filler

Treatment Overview

What Are Tear Trough Fillers?

Tear trough filler is used to target the under-eye area, specifically the hollows or depressions that can develop (usually as a result of ageing), creating a tired or aged appearance. This procedure uses hyaluronic acid-based fillers, and aims to rejuvenate the under-eye area by restoring volume, reducing dark circles, and alleviating the appearance of tiredness or sunkenness.

Benefits Of Tear Trough Filler

Under eye fillers are a highly popular and effective choice for rejuvenating the delicate area beneath the eyes, offering a range of impressive benefits. This non-surgical treatment can significantly reduce the appearance of dark circles and hollows, resulting in a brighter and more refreshed look.

By increasing volume, fillers help create a firmer, more prominent under-eye area, enhancing a youthful and revitalised appearance. The procedure is virtually pain-free, thanks to the use of a topical anaesthetic, and the results are long-lasting, typically enduring for six to eighteen months. With minimal recovery time required, you can quickly return to your daily routine. Additionally, under eye fillers offer the reassurance of reversibility, allowing the filler to be safely dissolved if the outcome does not meet your expectations.

This treatment is a convenient and reliable solution for achieving a refreshed and confident look without the need for surgery.

Tear Trough Rejuvenation With Dermal Filler

During the initial consultation, our practitioner evaluates the tear trough area, discusses your concerns, and plans the treatment based around your desired outcome. Hyaluronic acid fillers, chosen for their ability to integrate smoothly and provide natural-looking results, are commonly used. Fillers for this area of the face are specially formulated to be more gentle and have a smoother consistency.

How Does Tear Trough Filler Treatment Work?

The treatment process involves the application of a topical numbing cream to ensure comfort. Using a fine cannula, the filler is meticulously injected along the tear trough area to add volume and reduce the appearance of hollows. Our practitioner employs a delicate technique, sculpting and contouring the filler to achieve a smooth transition from the lower eyelid to the cheek. Dermal fillers are designed to provide temporary results and therefore maintenance treatments may be required to sustain the effects.

Why Choose Tear Trough Filler?

Tear trough fillers provide a non-surgical solution for addressing under-eye hollows and dark circles, offering a rejuvenated and more youthful look. Consulting with an experienced provider is essential for tailored treatment and discussing potential risks or side effects, ensuring optimal and natural-looking outcomes. Following post-treatment care instructions is crucial for a smooth recovery and prolonged results.

Frequently asked questions

In most cases, tear trough fillers are requested by men and women who are experiencing the effects of ageing. Conditions such as depressions beneath the eyes (tear troughs), dark circles and eyebags can be improved with the use of this treatment, providing a rejuvenated appearance to the upper face.

Before your teat trough filler treatment, a health check will confirm your suitability, so please inform us of any significant health issues or medications. The treatment area must be clean and free of hair and make-up, to avoid risk of infection. To minimise discomfort, taking paracetamol an hour before your appointment can help, and numbing cream may also be applied at the clinic.

Tear trough filler treatment is a simple, non-invasive procedure typically completed in a single appointment taking 30 minutes.

The skin around the eyes is generally thinner than other parts of the face, increasing sensitivity in this area. Therefore, HAVA Aesthetics will ensure a suitable form of anaesthetic has been offered which is usually a topical numbing cream.

Minor swelling or bruising might occur but usually resolves within a few days. All side effects and risks will be discussed at consultation, as well as expected downtime.

Following tear trough fillers, our practitioners will advise the following aftercare for a few days; maintain gentle care, avoid pressure on the treated area, minimise strenuous activities, apply cold compresses to reduce swelling, and avoid blood-thinning medications.

Patients typically notice immediate improvement in the under-eye area, with reduced hollowing and a refreshed appearance. The duration of results varies based on the filler type and individual factors, lasting several months to a year or more.
