Treatment Overview
Botox is one of the most widely used and well researched treatments in aesthetic medicine. At HAVA Aesthetics, our medical led Botox treatments are designed to soften expression lines while supporting long term facial balance and skin health. In addition to anti-wrinkle injections for concerns such as frown lines, forehead lines, and crow’s feet, Botox can also be used for more advanced applications. These include jawline slimming for facial tension and teeth grinding, as well as hyperhidrosis treatment to reduce excessive sweating and improve daily comfort.
HAVA Aesthetics welcomes Botox patients from Esher, Cobham, Weybridge, Kingston and surrounding Surrey areas.
Our approach is always consultation led. We assess facial anatomy, muscle activity, and age related changes to ensure treatments remain natural, proportionate, and appropriate for each individual. HAVA Aesthetics is a CQC Registered clinic, and all Botox treatments are carried out using medical grade products in a safe, clinical environment.

What Is Botox (Botulinum Toxin)?
Botox is a purified form of Botulinum Toxin, a prescription only muscle relaxant derived from Clostridium botulinum. In aesthetic treatments, Botulinum Toxin is used in highly controlled, therapeutic doses to temporarily relax targeted muscles responsible for expression related lines and wrinkles.
Botox works by blocking specific nerve signals between the nerve endings and the muscle fibres. When these signals are reduced, the muscle relaxes, allowing the overlying skin to smooth and preventing deeper lines from forming. This controlled muscle relaxation makes Botox one of the most effective lines & wrinkles treatments available today.
Botox treatments at HAVA Aesthetics start from £195. Final treatment cost depends on the areas treated, muscle strength and your personalised treatment plan following consultation.
How Botox Treatments Work on Facial Muscles
Repeated facial expressions such as frowning, squinting, smiling and raising the eyebrows cause the underlying facial muscles to contract. Over time, these repetitive movements contribute to the formation of dynamic wrinkles, which can eventually become static lines visible even when the face is at rest.
Botox treatments target the muscles responsible for these movements. By interrupting excessive nerve signals, Botox reduces muscle activity without affecting sensation. When administered by an experienced practitioner with detailed knowledge of facial anatomy, this helps soften forehead wrinkles, glabella wrinkles, and crow’s feet lines while preserving natural expression and facial character.
Most patients begin to notice results within a few days, with full results typically developing over 10-14 days.
How long does Botox take to work and how long does it last?
Most patients begin to see Botox results within 24 to 48 hours of treatment, with the full effect visible at around two weeks. Results typically last three to five months, after which the treated muscles gradually return to baseline activity.
The exact timeline depends on several factors: the dose used, the muscle group treated, your individual metabolism, and whether this is your first treatment or a maintenance session.
What to expect day-by-day
- Days 1-2: the first signs of softening. You may notice that expressions feel slightly less mobile in the treated areas.
- Days 3-7: most of the effect develops. Lines look smoother at rest and during expression.
- Days 10-14: full result settled. This is when we book your two-week review.
- Weeks 2-12: peak effect maintained.
- Months 3-5: gradual return of muscle activity. Most patients book their next Surrey appointment around this point.
If you have an event coming up, we recommend treatment two to three weeks beforehand. That allows enough time for the effect to settle and for any minor bruising to fade.
Common Areas Treated with Botox in Surrey
Botox is a versatile treatment option used to address a wide range of facial concerns, including:
Upper Face Treatments
- Frown lines and Glabellar lines (Glabella wrinkles)
- Forehead lines
- Crow’s feet and periorbital wrinkles
- Bunny lines across the nose
- Excessive sweating (see Hyperhidrosis Treatment)
Upper face Botox treatments help reduce dynamic wrinkles caused by repeated facial expressions, creating a smoother, refreshed appearance without compromising natural expression.
Lower Face & Advanced Botox Treatments
Advanced Botox treatments target muscle activity in the lower face and neck to improve balance, definition, and subtle lift while maintaining natural expression. By relaxing specific muscles, these treatments can refine the jawline, improve neck contours, and create a more harmonious appearance without surgery.
● Gummy smile / gummy smiles
● Marionette lines (in suitable cases)
● Neck lines and jawline slimming/definition
● Nefertiti lift for a non surgical neck lift and jawline contour
Each treatment is carefully planned to suit individual muscle strength, facial symmetry, and aesthetic goals. Our approach prioritises subtle, natural looking results that enhance rather than alter your features.
Botox vs Dermal Fillers: Understanding the Difference
Botox and dermal fillers address different aspects of facial ageing and are often used together for optimal results. Botox treatments relax muscles to reduce wrinkles caused by facial movement. Dermal fillers, typically made from hyaluronic acid, restore volume, structure, and contour in areas affected by volume loss.
Dermal fillers are commonly used to enhance and restore areas such as the jawline, cheeks, lips, tear troughs, and nose, helping to improve contour, structure and facial balance. Your practitioner will advise whether Botox, fillers, or a combination approach is most appropriate based on facial proportions and ageing patterns.
Botox, Facial Ageing & Long Term Skin Health
Facial ageing is a complex process influenced by repeated muscle movement, changes in skin elasticity, volume loss, and underlying bone changes. While Botox is highly effective at reducing dynamic wrinkles, it forms just one part of a comprehensive facial ageing strategy. By relaxing overactive facial muscles, Botox helps prevent deeper lines from forming over time. This proactive approach supports long term skin health and helps preserve facial proportions as ageing progresses. When combined with treatments that address skin quality and volume restoration, Botox contributes to a balanced, age appropriate aesthetic outcome.
Understanding how Botox interacts with facial anatomy allows treatments to be tailored not just for immediate wrinkle reduction, but for long term facial harmony.
Safety, Regulation & Medical Standards
Botox is a prescription only medicine, which is why treatment quality and practitioner expertise are critical. At HAVA Aesthetics, all Botox treatments are performed within a medical framework by a qualified team experienced in advanced facial aesthetics and aesthetic medicine.
As a clinic regulated by the Care Quality Commission, we adhere to strict clinical governance, infection control protocols and patient safety standards. This ensures that every Botox treatment is delivered in a safe, regulated environment using approved medical grade products.
A detailed consultation is always carried out before treatment, allowing our medical team to assess facial anatomy, muscle function, medical history and aesthetic goals. This consultation led approach helps minimise risk, ensures appropriate dosing and supports natural, balanced results.
When anti-wrinkle injections are not suitable
Anti-wrinkle injections are not suitable for patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding, under 18, have certain neuromuscular conditions, or take specific medications. As a CQC-registered, doctor-led clinic in Surrey, HAVA screens every patient at consultation to confirm Botox is safe for them.
We do not treat patients in the following circumstances:
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding: there is insufficient safety data, so treatment is deferred until after.
- Under 18 years of age: anti-wrinkle injections are not licensed for cosmetic use in under-18s in the UK, and HAVA does not treat minors.
- Neuromuscular disorders such as myasthenia gravis, Lambert-Eaton syndrome, and motor neurone disease, where botulinum toxin can affect underlying muscle function.
- Known allergy to botulinum toxin or any ingredient in the specific product used.
- Active skin infection at the proposed injection site. Treatment is deferred until fully resolved.
- Certain medications including aminoglycoside antibiotics and some muscle relaxants. We will review your full medication list at consultation.
- If any of these apply, your consultation may still be useful. We can talk through alternatives that may be suitable for your concerns, such as polynucleotides or skin boosters.
Preventative Botox & Maintenance Treatments
Botox is increasingly used as a preventative treatment for patients looking to slow the development of deeper lines and wrinkles. By treating dynamic wrinkles early, Botox can help reduce the long term formation of static lines that become more difficult to treat later.
Maintenance Botox treatments are tailored to individual muscle activity, anatomy and facial ageing patterns. Our medical team carefully adjusts dosage and treatment areas over time, ensuring results remain natural and aligned with your changing facial structure.
This measured and preventative approach reflects our commitment to ethical medical aesthetics and long term patient care.
Botox as Part of a Wider Treatment Plan
Botox is often combined with other treatments in medical aesthetics to achieve comprehensive facial rejuvenation. While anti-wrinkle injections relax dynamic lines, complementary treatments can also address volume loss and skin quality. This may include:
● Skin treatments to improve texture and hydration
● Anti-wrinkle injections alongside dermal fillers for structural balance
● Targeted filler treatments such as Tear Trough Filler, Jawline Filler, or Cheekbone enhancement
Combining treatments allows for a tailored approach that addresses both muscle activity and age related volume changes.
What happens during your Botox appointment at HAVA
A Botox appointment at HAVA Aesthetics in Surrey takes around 20 to 30 minutes from arrival to departure. Every consultation, treatment and review is performed by Dr Hadeel Nimaa, a GMC-registered doctor and member of the British College of Aesthetic Medicine (BCAM). There is no delegated injector under remote supervision.
Step 1: Consultation (first visit only)
If this is your first time with us, we always book a separate consultation before treatment. We talk through what you are considering, what is realistic for your facial anatomy, and (often) what we would suggest you do not do. There is no pressure to commit on the day. A 24-hour cooling-off period applies for first-time patients on regulated treatments, as required of all CQC-registered clinics in the UK.
Step 2: Treatment day
On treatment day, expect to be in the clinic for around 20 to 30 minutes. After a brief review of any changes since consultation, Dr Nimaa cleanses the treatment area and marks the injection points. The injections themselves take five to ten minutes. Most patients describe the sensation as a brief pinch.
Step 3: Aftercare and review
You can return to most normal activities immediately. We ask you to avoid lying flat, intense exercise, alcohol, and pressure on the treated area for the rest of the day. We will book a complimentary two-week review to assess the result and, if needed, refine the treatment.

How Botox pricing works at HAVA
Anti-wrinkle injections at HAVA Aesthetics in Surrey start from £195 for a single area. Pricing is structured by area treated, not by units of toxin used, so you know the total cost of your treatment before you arrive. There are no surprises if your treatment requires a little more or a little less product than expected.
What affects the price
● Number of areas treated: the most common areas are forehead lines, frown lines (between the brows), and crow’s feet around the eyes. Treating multiple areas in one session is more cost-effective than booking separately.
● Whether you combine treatments: patients who pair anti-wrinkle injections with dermal filler or skin boosters in the same visit are offered combined-treatment pricing.
● Advanced or off-label areas: masseter (jaw-slimming), gummy smile, neck (Nefertiti lift), and other advanced indications are priced separately because they require more product and longer technique time.
Full current pricing for all anti-wrinkle treatments is on the HAVA price list. We discuss your specific treatment plan and confirm cost at consultation, so you can decide in your own time.
