What is Radiesse®?
Radiesse® is a collagen-stimulating injectable made from calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA), a biocompatible substance naturally found in the body. It sits within HAVA’s regenerative aesthetics offering as one of our biostimulator treatments, a family of injectable treatments that also includes Sunekos and polynucleotides.
What makes Radiesse® distinctive is its dual action. The CaHA microspheres provide an immediate lifting and firming effect, while also acting as a scaffold that stimulates your body to produce new collagen over the following weeks and months. The result is an instant improvement that continues to develop, supporting volume restoration, firmness and definition while maintaining your natural facial contours.
How does Radiesse® work?
Skin owes its firmness and bounce to collagen, and from our late twenties the amount we produce begins to fall, so the face gradually loses volume, definition and elasticity. Radiesse® addresses this in two stages. First, its calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres sit within the tissue to give an instant lift and structural support. Those same microspheres then act as a scaffold that prompts your fibroblasts to lay down fresh collagen and elastin around them over the following months. As the microspheres are safely broken down and absorbed, your own newly built collagen remains, which is why the result keeps refining well after your appointment.
Radiesse® vs dermal fillers
A common question is how Radiesse® differs from a traditional dermal filler. Standard hyaluronic acid fillers, such as cheek filler, add facial volumisation and reshape specific areas, results that are purely structural.

What to expect from your Radiesse® treatment
Your Radiesse® journey begins with a detailed consultation and assessment with Dr Hadeel Nimaa, where your goals are reviewed and your suitability confirmed.
On the day, we apply a topical numbing cream for comfort, then place Radiesse® into carefully mapped points with a cannula. You’ll see a visible lift straight away, and most appointments take 30 to 45 minutes. Depending on your goals, it’s delivered as one to three courses, four weeks apart. Downtime is minimal, and aftercare guidance is provided afterwards.
Radiesse® results and longevity
Radiesse® gives an immediate improvement that keeps developing as your own collagen is stimulated. Results last up to 18 months, for the jawline as a single course, and for the face, neck or hands as a course of three treatments.
To preserve your results, we recommend a single-session top-up once a year. Longevity varies with age, skin condition, treatment area and lifestyle, all discussed during your consultation.
